Dolphin Amateur Swimming Competition continues partnership with Prior Park Prep School

Prior Park Prep School near Swindon, have announced their continued sponsorship of the Swindon Dolphin Amateur Swimming Club competition at the Swindon Health Hydro, this October. On Saturday 21st October, the Swindon Dolphin Amateur Swimming Club competition will see five teams of children aged 8-16 years compete.

The sponsorship by Prior Park Prep School provides opportunities for novice swimmers. It helps to finance pool hire, electronic timing and display boards, so that Swindon Dolphins will be able to comply competition regulations, whilst serving the increasing number of supporters at a larger venue.

For Prior Park Prep School it is an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to its wider community. The school supports other community sporting activities in the Swindon and Cricklade area, including sharing their RFU accredited rugby grounds and coaching in the ECB All Stars Cricket programme.  The Swindon Dolphin Amateur Swimming Club has been the starting point for many international swimming stars, such as Tilly Gray and Jamie King and we hope to see more names in lights from the Swindon area in the near future.

The competition not only gives the children a chance to compete, but furthers the club and its future by providing opportunities to train younger officials in judging stroke techniques, which creates the right opportunities to develop talent.
-Swimming Coach, Anthony Stratford

We have a passion for sport and are delighted to support the community’s young novice swimmers.
-James Barton, Deputy Head, Prior Park Prep
