Dolphin SwimSkills

Swindon Dolphin SwimSkills caters for swimmers from age 5 who are already capable of swimming 10 metres unaided, with one or two sessions per week available, depending on a swimmer’s stage of progression.

In accordance with the FUNdamental stage of Long Term Athlete Development, the emphasis is on structure and fun.  Swimmers are encouraged to develop all four racing strokes and the necessary skills, including competitive starts and turns, to enable them to progress further into the Swindon Dolphin competitive swimming programme.

Regular “Race Night” events are held giving swimmers the opportunity to experience a swimming meet in a fun, low-pressured environment.  Awards are also available where swimmers are able to demonstrate a level of competency in a stroke in accordance with ASA technique guidelines and technical laws.
