The Swim Links programme, led by the ASA is a national initiative that links local schools, disability groups and charities to a local swimming club. The aim is to create a seamless pathway for swimmers with disability and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to access high quality swimming provision.

By establishing a pathway from learn to swim, to competitive swimming Swim Links also offers an opportunity to nurture the next generation of Paralympic swimmers.

The latest swimming club to be part of the Swim Link programme is Swindon Dolphin ASC. Swindon Dolphin will be hosting disability specific swimming lessons, which aim to teach and develop children and young people with a disability to reach their full potential.

With focussed teaching and coaching swimmers will be able to learn and develop their skills so that they can be integrated into a mainstream coaching environment, where they can continue to develop and take full advantage of the opportunities within disability swimming.

The monthly sessions will be held at Dorcan Swimming Pool on Sundays as listed below. The sessions are coached by ASA qualified teachers and coaches, who have experience of working with swimmers with a disability.

Sessions are open to swimmers with a physical, sensory or intellectual impairment, and will be adapted to suit any level of swimming ability.
