Swindon Dolphin look set to resume their climb through the Western league divisions as they convincingly won the first round of their Arena League Division 2 meet at Newport International Sports Village.
Having gained promotion to the division last year, Dolphin’s aim over the next two years is to regain premier division status, and with it the privilege of competing against teams that regularly make the National finals in the country’s most prestigious team competition.
With a mixture of close finishes and convincing wins, Dolphin won 38 of the 50 event meet, and with six second and six third place finishes ensured a massive 105 point winning margin over second placed Dawlish.
The next round takes place on Saturday 12th November.
